Chapter 139 Getting The Inheritance (Part 10)

Raydon said, drawing his sword, "I\'ve got your back."

Fehim entrusted his back to him without a word and began running toward the zombie that was still dragging its chain.

"Show me what you\'ve got!" With a mighty war cry, he activated his skill.

\'\'Decompose. \'\'

The ax started belching yellow smoke as soon as the skill was activated. Despite the relative quiet, a hissing sound echoed through the air, as if the smoke\'s decomposing effect were robbing the air of oxygen.

\'\'Boost Muscle. \'\'

Immediately after that, Fehim used his second skill. His running speed accelerated at the same time that his large muscles, which were akin to those of an orangutan, started to swell even more. He was running, leaving deep tracks on the hard, dry ground with each step.

\'\'Raaargghh.\'\'

He leaped at the zombie, which was standing still and slowly retracing its chain, and swung his ax over its head.

With incredible speed and reflex, the zombie, who had been collecting its barbed ball by pulling its chain until the very last second, swerved to the side mere centimeters before the ax split its head in two, and thus avoided being hacked in half.

*BANG*

\'\'Shit. \'\'

When the ax lost its intended target, it delivered a powerful blow to the ground that instantly turned the stone and earth into yellow smoke.

\'He is fast. \'

Fehim paused to consider his next move, and as he was about to raise and swing his ax once more, he was knocked off balance and thrown to the side by a blow to the right side of his stomach.

\'\'You damn zombie. \'\'

Fehim pulled out his bat-shaped wings after sliding sideways a few meters on his feet, gritted his teeth, and stared at the black-armored zombie. Not only did the zombie\'s speed shock him, but so did its incredible strength.

\'\'I\'m going to kill you for fucksake. \'\'

He once more raised his ax and assumed an attacking posture before multiplying his speed by flapping his wings and charging the zombie.

Fehim used the power of his wings this time to launch an attack much faster than he had previously. However, the black-armored zombie was still significantly faster than him, and he retreated a few paces before the ax reached him.

*BANG*

Fehim shouted infuriatingly, "Damn, he\'s like a fish; I can\'t catch him."

His eyes scanned the area for Raydon, but he was nowhere to be found. \'Where did he go? \'

\'\'Gughh. \'\'

Fehim was distracted for just long enough for another barbed ball to hit him in the chest, sending him reeling backwards.

\'\'Damn. I\'m really pissed off. \'\'

Fehim continued, voicing his rage. \'\'Let\'s see if you can get dodge this as well. \'\'

Fehim positioned himself in an offensive stance, hefting his massive ax behind him. With a powerful flap of his wings, he took a giant leap forward, rocketing himself straight at the black-armored zombie.

\'\'Helix Strike. \'\'

Fehim\'s ax grew to twice its normal size and the yellow smoke that was rising from it intensified as he used his skill. It was clear that an extremely powerful area-of-effect attack was about to be released.

When the zombie anticipated Fehim\'s horizontal attack, it threw itself back with all its might to try and avoid it.

And right at that moment, as its incredible speed was taking it out of range of Fehim\'s ax, the zombie ran into an unexpected obstacle from behind.

\'\'Flame Burst. \'\'

With his hellish flames, Raydon, who had been unseen for some time, appeared at the precise moment and location to thwart the zombie\'s escape. The pressurized black flames coming from Raydon\'s hand not only stopped the zombie from retreating but also pushed it in the direction of Fehim\'s attack core.

*Swishh*

Yellow smoke billowed out of the zombie\'s body as its armor and midsection were torn to shreds by the disintegration attack, which hit it like a horizontal wave.

[Lv.31 Zombie Soldier Slave(E-Rank) has been killed.]

[You gained 336 experiences.]

pαпdα Йᴏνê|,сòМ \'E-Rank and level 31? \' Raydon was surprised to see an E-Rank creature, and even more so to learn that it was Level 31, after having battled nothing but F-Rank monsters outside of the Region Bosses up until this point.

\'This is most likely another creature the owner of this dimension\'s item holder has crafted. But I had no idea that these things could level up. \' Raydon muttered.

He was still unsure of the precise methodology used to determine the mob levels in matches. All he knew was that E-Rank Region Bosses were level 10, and F-Rank mobs were level 1.

\'The lack of a life core indicates that this creature is a crafted monster. So it\'s not about life cores. Or is the system simply determining their power level and assigning them a level based on that? \' Raydon considered it but gave up when he couldn\'t come up with a logical conclusion.

He wasn\'t planning on crafting any monsters anytime soon, so this question might go unanswered for a while as well.

\'\'Wow, this guy almost got away from this attack as well. You\'re a great supporter, aren\'t you? \'\' In a cheerful tone, he said to Raydon, looking at the thousands of experience points he had gained from this fight. He completed most of the work, so he also accumulated the majority of the experience points. As a supporter, Raydon only received compliments.

\'I never enjoyed playing the role of the supporter. \' Thinking about all the experience points he had missed, Raydon spat on the ground.

\'\'Don\'t let your guard down. There are still more. \'\' Due to the fact that his Depise skill didn\'t function on dead bodies, he was unable to see anyone nearby, but his senses alerted him to the fact that things weren\'t over yet.

\'\'Yes, I can feel as well. \'\' Fehim added while maintaining a serious face.

Though it was possible for him to take out the armored zombie on his own, doing so would have been very taxing. He could handle two of them at once, but three would be too much for him to handle even with his high defense and fast healing.

After waiting for a while and still not seeing any monsters, Raydon concluded, "I think we need to keep advancing for them to show themselves."
