Chapter 1043 - Dungeon
Rank 7 God.
Alex cultivated the rest of the energy and gradually opened his eyes.
"Hmm…" Alex let out a small groan, looking at Firia in front of him. He smiled and thought, \'You almost reach Rank 8 God…Probably in one or two months since the energy is still there. It seems I can\'t really send my goodbye to you.\'
[Congratulations on your cultivation.]
\'Thanks. How are Anna and the others?\' Alex asked.
[They have made good progress. Although only Sherry has reached Rank 8 God, the others are not really far from it. Maybe one or two years are enough.]
\'I see. That\'s good.\' Alex nodded. \'I will visit them to say goodbye since I will probably leave for a few months or so?\'
[I think it will be a few years. Refining the Undying Blaze Root will take a lot of time, so…]
\'Fair enough.\' Alex nodded. \'Still, I don\'t know what to say to Silvia.\'
[That\'s the only thing you can do. My only advice is to say everything honestly. Just like you said, what happens later is decided by fate.]
\'I understand. I will just do that.\' Alex rose from the bed silently to avoid waking Firia up and left the room.
Because they were separated from each other, it took him a few hours to greet the Five Guardians, the Elemental Gods, and his wives separately.
Even so, he felt that it was worth it…Even though they somehow forced a kind of "torture" for him to go through. Yes, the Elemental Gods and Guardians had yet to give up on him.
Alex could only shake his head helplessly.
After that, Alex wasted no time going to the castle to meet Lin Xingzhi.
In her room, Lin Xingzhi was still occupied with the system.
"You want to open the Gacha first?" She smiled.
Alex suddenly remembered that he planned to open it after his training was over. He scratched the back of his head and sighed. "Sure."
[Gacha Point: 33028]
[Gacha Coin: 437]
"Hmm…Four years and only four hundred?" Alex frowned. "I don\'t know if their luck is low or something, but this is just too horrible…"
"Haha… I can\'t argue with that, but I have set the chance accordingly, so it must be the former." Lin Xingzhi shrugged.
"So, I can\'t use the Gacha, no?"
"Not really. You can exchange the Gacha Points to Gacha Coin for a hundred to one exchange ration."
"I see. One hundred Gacha Points is equal to one Gacha Coin. In other words, a hundred Rare and Super Rare items are equal to one Ultimate Rare item. Not the best conversion, but I think it\'s good enough." Alex nodded in understanding. "I will exchange all of them then."
"Sure thing." Lin Xingzhi acknowledged the order and exchanged it.
"It feels weird to see that the system power you have is actually in front of you, but I can\'t do anything to it."
"Haha. The host can order me, but you can\'t interfere with the system. Everything has a cause and effect, so yeah, just don\'t think about it." Lin Xingzhi chuckled. "By the way, I have finished the exchange."
Alex took another look at his system.
[Gacha Point: 28]
[Gacha Coin: 767]
"Hmm…It has yet to reach one thousand. Ugh, I can\'t open anything. I need another world to get this kind of thing." Alex narrowed his eyes.
"I can\'t help it. I will only help you with the process, but I believe there is a need for a different approach." Lin Xingzhi offered a suggestion.
"What do you mean?" Alex tilted his head.
"First of all, you can use the world you are going to give them the strength to fight. The one that gets terrorized by unknown monsters…"
"Hmm…I don\'t really like changing the world too much, especially if they don\'t have a power system." Alex shook his head. He didn\'t like to interfere in the world of mortals. At the very least, he needed a world with a power system like the one he placed his system.
"It does have." Lin Xingzhi nodded her head. "Well, it\'s not as strong as Agar World…The world where Alicia and Firia were born, but it is definitely there. If I need an example, it\'s like the Earth\'s history. I mean…The one that says about Kung Fu and inner energy? Something like that. It\'s weak, but it\'s there."
Alex was still hesitant. If it were Earth, he might do it, especially since there were so many games or action stories out there. But this one…He wasn\'t sure.
"I want to mention this, but the monsters that terrorize them are numbered millions." Lin Xingzhi added one more thing to convince Alex.
"Oh, wow?" Alex blinked his eyes a few times.
"And if there is a queen, they will most likely give birth for more monsters…You know what I mean?"
Alex let out a long sigh. "I understand. You manage to convince me."
"Of course, I didn\'t say this just out of spite. I have prepared something for you." She smirked. "It\'s the dungeons."
"Dungeons? As in the one from the Dungeon God?" Alex widened his eyes.
"Exactly. After deciphering his concept, I have understood how he manages his dungeon." She smirked. "And after conducting several investigations, I have ascertained the possibility of dungeons in this world."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "Can you explain it to me in detail?"
Lin Xingzhi nodded with a smile. "First of all, you need a portal to another world. From what I can see, this world is attracted to one of the upper worlds near it."
"So, it\'s like the one where I placed my system?"
"Yes. Just reverse. So, this one is like the Agar World."
"I see. What to do?"
"First of all, you need to construct a dungeon which can easily be done with our technicians. In fact, I have asked a few people to create some since two years ago. And you need to find the portal to the other world there and unseal it. Of course, to prevent the other world from going to their world, you will need to link it to the dungeons while turning the portal into a one-way portal."
"I somehow understand…" Alex looked down, falling into deep thought. "After directing the portal to each dungeon, I will plant Rank 9 Teleportation Arrays…Maybe an Array Formation since the distance is too big. If I need to calculate, maybe tens of millions of symbols for one dungeon."
"Yes. After that, you need to establish the concept. We can use the Dungeon God\'s concept, which is to use all the things that the dead monsters can offer to teleport another monster from another world, supply the energy for the dungeon, and reap the benefit from the excess energy to get Spirit Crystals. This is another way for monetization." Lin Xingzhi explained.
"I see. That\'s a good concept. This way, I might not get Gacha Point and Coins, but I will get Spirit Crystals, boosting the revenue even further."
"Exactly. Of course, it\'s better to set multiple dungeons to maximize this effect. Besides, you need to make another array on the other side to kidnap those monsters and so much blood to create all of those things. Well, we will run the dungeons at a loss for a decade or two before starting to get the profit. If we calculate the time you will fight the beast, it\'s better to make this one as soon as possible."
Alex agreed. "I understand. I will make dungeons there after getting the Undying Blaze Root. Well, if we don\'t give the Gacha, the income will be reduced, but we don\'t need to supply them needlessly. It\'s not like our supply is infinite even if we buy things from merchant clans like Blackwade Clan."
"Yes. That\'s why the Dungeon God chose to be a Dungeon God instead of any other Gods. This one is the most profitable in the long run and can function automatically." Lin Xingzhi nodded with a smile.
"Alright. I will create several dungeons depending on the geography. Other than the dungeons, I should leave a teleportation array for them to take advantage of like the Dungeon God."
Lin Xingzhi nodded. "I will draw the concept and create the to do list. As for the details and addition, I will let you choose what you want. Is that okay?"
"Sounds good to me."
"Then, this matter is settled." Alex nodded.
"Alright. I\'m done." Lin Xingzhi raised her hands. "Now go."
"Am I getting kicked out of the house?" Alex made a weird smile.
Lin Xingzhi chuckled and shrugged.
Alex kissed and hugged her before saying. "I am going then."
"Un." She nodded with a big smile.
Alex then turned around and disappeared.
…
Meanwhile, on another planet, a plain-looking grey-haired woman bent down on the ground, looking at the kid before her.
The kid was crying as his foot was grazed because he fell earlier.
"Don\'t cry. Let me treat your wound." The woman put on a gentle smile and began treating his wound.
"Wha—It\'s healed. It\'s like the wound never existed before. It\'s magic!" The boy looked at her with a star in his eyes. "Big Sister, you are so good."
"Thank you. You shouldn\'t cry, okay? You are a man after all." She smiled while patting his head.
"But why does Big Sister look so sad?" The boy tilted his head in confusion. Unknowingly, the boy seemed to be able to understand her emotion behind that gentle smile.
"Fufu, Big sister is not. Silly boy." The woman flicked his forehead and helped him up. "Let\'s go back then?"
"I am not a boy, I am already seven years old now. And I don\'t want to go back. I don\'t have a family and all the people in the village keep bullying me. Big Sister is the Forest Witch, right? The villagers called you like that. Can I follow you? I want to learn how to treat someone so their pain will be healed and they don\'t need to endure their pain anymore."
"Is that so? Hmm…Your eyes seem a bit special, but I can see that your heart is good. I won\'t easily accept a student, but I will consider it if I see your determination. First, how about you go back to your village and come to my place in the morning? If you can find my house, then I will consider taking you in. However, you should promise that you will use it for good. How about it?"
The boy\'s expression brightened. "Really? I will do it immediately."
"Good. Then, I will be waiting for you." She smiled and patted the boy\'s head before walking away.
"See you tomorrow, Big Sister." The boy waved his hand with a smile on his face.
When she reached a small hut in the middle of the forest, she entered her room with a complicated expression.
The boy\'s words just hit her hard. The boy\'s eyes were indeed special.
She subconsciously walked toward her bedroom, finding a picture frame on the table. She reached it and held it gently.
Tears began to swell up on her eyes before flowing down.
It was a picture of her with a golden-haired man.
"I wonder why…I have been here to forget the emotion and memory with you…But I just couldn\'t do it. Even though I haven\'t fallen too deep, the pain is this unbearable. Now that I think about it, how much pain did they need to suffer when you disappeared for five thousand years…Am I really qualified to be by your side?"
She stuttered. Her legs went limp. Dropping on her knees, she hugged the picture while crying. "No. The fact that I am like this…It\'s because I have fallen too deep."
She felt conflicted about whether to leave this world to fix the misunderstanding with Alex shamelessly or stay in this world and teach the boy here. At the very least, the boy could keep her busy enough to make sure she doesn\'t think about him again.
